SCHOHARIE — Evan Wieczenski’s second goal of the game provided the overtime winner for the Fonda-Fultonville boys soccer team in a thrilling, 2-1 victory over Schoharie in Western Athletic Conference action Monday.
The game was scoreless until the final 10 minutes of regulation, when Matthew Loubier’s goal gave Schoharie a 1-0 lead. The Braves quickly knotted up the game, with Wieczenski scoring after a scramble in the box following a corner kick.
In overtime, Brett Kneeskern’s through ball found the feet of Wieczkenski, who beat his defender and shrugged off a bump before finishing his shot into the side netting for the win.
Mitch Araya backstopped the win with eight saves for Fonda-Fultonville. Jacob Fagnani made five saves for Schoharie.
Fort Plain 4,
Mekeel Christian 2
Jaxson Yacowenia scored twice to help Fort Plain double up Mekeel Christian.
Jacob Hisert and Josh Nellis also scored for the Hilltoppers in the win.
Galway 2, Northville 0
An own goal in the first half gave the Golden Eagles the lead and Jake Restivo scored in the second half to secure the win over Northville.
Restivo’s goal came off a Charlie Clarke corner kick. Henry Flint needed just one save to record the shutout.
Andy Klingbeil turned in a huge effort for Northville in defeat, making 23 saves.
Western Athletic Conference
Canajoharie 3, Duanesburg 1
Meghan Dingman scored a goal in each half to help the Cougars race past Duanesburg.
Taya Yacobucci added a goal for Canajoharie, with Allison Lamb and Abby Smith chipping in one assist each. Madison Koelbl made 11 saves in goal before handing duties over to Jocelyn Hammons, who stopped another five shots.
Emily Schaeffer scored and Madison Stealey made 13 saves for Duanesburg.
Northville 1, Galway 0
Brytney Moore scored the lone goal of the game, with Carina Oare providing the assist, as the Lady Falcons topped Galway.
Emily Shepard made seven saves to record the shutout for Northville.
Galway goalkeeper Grace Montague stopped nine shots.
Fort Plain 3,
Mekeel Christian 0
Gabby Jenks knocked in a pair of goals to send the Lady Hilltoppers past Mekeel Christian.
Rhyonn Ford also scored for Fort Plain, with Eryka Swank and Hannah Leonard providing assists.
Schoharie 9,
Fonda-Fultonville 0
Katie Krohn scored five goals as the Lady Indians powered past Fonda-Fultonville.
Meghan Krohn added a goal and three assists and Carrie Krohn had a goal and three assists for Schoarie. Maddie Phelan and Denise Woodman also scored, and goalkeeper Abby Wetsel recorded the shutout with 11 saves.
Ryleigh Hesch made 14 saves for Fonda-Fultonville.

South Glens Falls 2
The Lady Rams won all five singles matches to notch a victory over South Glens Falls.
Amsterdam No. 4 player Brianna Ziobro rallied for a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 win in three sets to highlight the match. Molly Monge, Prabha Singh, Natalie Flint and Olivia Fiorillo all won in straight sets for the Lady Rams. South Glens Falls swept both doubles matches in straight sets.
