Nick Meola notched his second career hole-in-one at the Amsterdam Municipal Golf, using a 3-hybrid to ace the 203-yard eighth hole while playing with Eric Papura and Sean Devine.
Devine and Meola also led gross scoring in Saturday’s two-man best ball competition at Muni with a 64, beating out Jim Geiger and Kelly Bordan’s 69. Bob Roulston and John Bordak had the low net of 64, followed by Larry Ryan and John Blatchford at 66, with M.J. Eckert and Shannon Noonan shooting 68.
In Men’s Bogey play Sunday, Glenn Stopera and Christ Matthewson tied for the low gross score of 73. Noonan’s 67 led net scoring by four strokes over Matt Beck. Roulston had the low senior gross of 85, while Dan DiBlasi and Mike Alexander each shot 73 to tie for the low senior net.
Eagles were recorded at the course by Tim O’Brien Sr. on the third hole and both Ben Alexander and Bob Vainaskaus on the 12th hole.
