Michael Magliocca crushed a home run over the left field fence and had a single and 10 players had at least one hit as the Amsterdam 14-and-under baseball team overpowered Pittsfield 11-4 in the second game of an Eastern New York Travel League doubleheader played Sunday at Shuttleworth Park.
Magliocca, who is just 13 years old, also drove in two runs as the Rams avenged an opening game 5-1 defeat.
In the nitecap, Amsterdam pitcher Nic Carbone went the distance, scattering nine hits while striking out seven.
Offensively, Tyler Williamson had two singles and three RBIs, Carbone added two singles and two RBIs and Tommy Ziskin and Caydren Gravely had two singles apiece. Also, Carson Cotugno, Matthew Murphy, Dane Dillenback and Nicholas Antonelli all had a single apiece.
In the opener, Murphy had a double and Ziskin, Williamson and Dillenback had a single apiece.
Amsterdam pitcher Tyler Williamson allowed 10 hits.
Amsterdam will begin an eight-game road trip beginning Tuesday with a 6 p.m. game at Galway before playing at Brunswick on Saturday and the Tri-City Bombers in Cohoes on Sunday.
