Thursday’s snowstorm disrupted much of the area’s scheduled holiday high school basketball action.

The Amsterdam boys were set to take on Hudson Falls Thursday at the Glens Falls Civic Center as part of the Glens Falls Winter Classic, but the weather forced a postponement. The Rams will be at the Civic Center tonight at 7 p.m. to take on host Glens Falls, then will face Hudson Falls in a makeup game Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Glens Falls High School.

The Andy Palmer Basketball Classic boys tournament at Canajoharie High School was pushed back a day as well. The semifinals will be played tonight, with Johnstown facing Schoharie at 5:30 and Canajoharie hosting Little Falls at 7:15. The consolation and championship games will be played Saturday at 1 and 2:30 p.m., respectively.

Also postponed was the wrap-up of Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville’s Coach Cutspec Holiday Classic, which was supposed to see the Wolfpack host Bainbridge-Guilford Thursday night. That game will be played today at 1 p.m. in St. Johnsville.

Mayfield’s trip to the Maple Hill Holiday Hoopfest was also postponed. The Panthers will face Maple Hill in the final game of the opening round tonight at 7:30 p.m., and will play in either the championship or consolation game Monday at a time to be determined.

In girls basketball, OESJ’s trip to the Kasner Klassic at Little Falls High School was pushed back a day. The Wolfpack will play West Canada Valley in the opening round today at 5 p.m., with the consolation and championship games set for Saturday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
