Amsterdam native and current Albany Academy sophomore basketball player Andre Jackson has received a scholarship offer to University of Cincinnati.
It marks Jackson’s third scholarship offer this year.
Jackson’s first Division I scholarship was offered in July by the University of Massachusetts. He was offered a scholarship to play at Syracuse last month.
A 6-foot-6 guard, Jackson was a reserve role player for Albany Academy’s Class A Federation championship-winning team as a freshman. He played alongside forward Hameir Wright, who has since gone on to the University of Washington, where he will be coached by former Syracuse assistant Mike Hopkins.
