Dog killer needs to think of others

To the editor:

To the person in the red pickup truck who hit a dog on Route 30 Sunday:

You must have known you hit something because you drug that 80-pound dog a good ways but you never stopped to see if it was OK or whose pet it was. Well, it was the pet of a 13-month-old little boy who loves his dogs.

We have lived on Route 30 for almost 30 years and this is not new, that people hit animals, cause damage to property, and then drive away as if nothing ever happened. The rest of us suffer because of your actions but it doesn't seem to bother you. God help us if this trend continues. Hope all of you who are guilty of this somehow get some compassion and thought for others.

Ted Schrom,

Amsterdam
