If the band played on ...

To the editor:

It has been said that the best things in life are free. Last week one of those things was presented at Amsterdam High School in the form of a band concert. It was heart warming to say the least to witness such musical excellence, it left one wishing that they would never stop playing. If this is any example of how things are done at our high school then we have an institution we can be very proud of. To these students I can only say thank you for putting in the hours of practice that it took to rise to such a high level and for sharing it with us. This restores ones faith in our youth and our future. The only way to sum this up is to say that you and your music teachers rock.
