Noce's buzzer-beater lifts Fighting Irish

Adam Noce's long 3-pointer as time expired helped the Notre Dame Fighting Irish overcome 32 points and six 3-pointers from Dale Stanavich of the Oregon Ducks in a thrilling, 63-62 win to lead this week's action in the Amsterdam Recreation Basketball League's 7-8th grade boys division.

Robbie Spagnola scored 17 points for Notre Dame, while Tim DiCaprio added 12, Jake Smitka scored 11, Dom Sacco scored 10, A.J. Mercado had six, Trey Ausfeld had four and Evan Smith chipped in two.

In addition to Stanavich's 32 points, Max Spagnola had 17 points for Oregon, Danny Rivera and Mike Hughes each scored six and Brandon Little scored four points.

5-6TH GRADE BOYS

Philadelphia 76ers 41,

Chicago Bulls 23

Jeffrey Brennan's 16 points paced the 76ers to victory.

Spencer Flint added nine points for the 76ers, while Andrew Giaimo had seven, Anthony Vicinanzo scored six and Randy Spraker added three.

Richard Gannon had 11 points and Louis DiManno scored nine for the Bulls, who also got two points from Michael Spiezio and a point from Devin Valles.

3-4TH GRADE BOYS

Ohio State 29,

St. John's 19

Paris Banks scored 17 of his team's 29 points as Ohio State edged St. John's.

James Shatas added six points for Ohio State, while Zakhi Fallen had four and Logan Palmer scored two.

Tyrell Douglas led St. John's with seven points, Matt Hughes had six and Akil Yellai chipped in with two.
