Linda L. Foster

Linda L. Foster, 70, of West Main St., Amsterdam, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam.

Born in Amsterdam on November 5, 1943 a daughter of the late William and Bessie Kenfield Koons. She was a lifelong Amsterdam resident and attended Amsterdam schools.

Linda was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing bingo and dancing. She was of the Protestant Faith.

She married William Floyd Foster on July 23, 1962. He passed away on March 18, 2011. Survivors include her beloved children, Jeffrey Foster (Randall Brooks) of Bensalem, PA, Thomas (Kathy) Foster of Amsterdam and April (Danny) Birch of Amsterdam, NY. One brother, Donald Koons Sr. of Burtonsville, NY, two sisters, Donna Hirschfeld of Amsterdam and Eleanor Koons of Amsterdam. Three cherished grandchildren, Cheyenne Foster, Gillian Foster and Shanna Foster of Amsterdam. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 3:00P.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, Inc. 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY with Rev. William T. Hodgetts Jr. presiding.

Interment will be in the Spring in Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill, NY.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 1:00 to 3:00P.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery County SPCA, P.O. Box Amsterdam, NY 12010.
