Elizabeth Mary Ullman

Elizabeth Mary Ullman, 86, of Sharon, passed away peacefully, December 9, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born June 3, 1926 in Sharon, NY the daughter of Percy and Dorothy (Allen) Empie. She married Robert Ullman on June 20, 1945, he predeceased her in 2008.

A lifelong resident she attended school in Cobleskill and graduated from Sharon Springs. She worked in Cobleskill for many years as a telephone operator, waitressed at Hotel Augustine, did bookkeeping at Mountain Dairy, and worked at Hodge and Aker Clothing.

She was a member of Schoharie Valley Garden Club and enjoyed gardening, stitch work, and bird-watching. She was deeply loved by family and friends.

Survivors include four children: Joyce (Gerald) Dornburg of Fort Plain, Cynthia Edwards of Worcester, Gary (Susan) Ullman of Cobleskill, Wayne (Debbie) Ullman of Kawii, Hawaii, six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 17, 2012 at 11 AM at the Ottman Funeral Home, Cherry Valley, NY. Burial will follow in Slate Hill Cemetery, Sharon Springs, NY.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 16 from 3:00-5:00 PM at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to the Catskill Area Hospice or the Schoharie County Animal Shelter.
