Anthony Aponte scored a game-high 29 points and Ryan Gannon chipped in with 12 points to lead the Siena Saints to a 71-44 victory over the Oregon Ducks in an Amsterdam Recreational Basketball League seventh and eighth grade basketball game at Bacon.

Louis Fedullo helped the winners with eight points, Elias Sanchez followed with seven points, Angel Rivera had four points, Nico Orengo and Jaelen Hall scored three points apiece and Jaden Fallen finished with two points.

Money Iriniswari led the Saints defense.

Oregon got 18 points from Dale Stanavich and Andre Jackson had 10 points. Max Spagnola chipped in with five points, while Mike Hughes and Josh Agresta followed with four points apiece.

Brandon Little, Cam Dutcher, Nick Shaw and Torin Nethaway led the defense.

Grades 5-6

Orlando Magic 33, Philadelphia 76ers 30

Dan Montalvo tallied 13 points and Christopher Parker added six points to lead the Orlando Magic to a win over the Philadelphia 76ers in opening day action.

Antone Glionna, Anthony Barone-Lopez and Christian Mickus each had four points and Nicholas Antonelli finished with two points for the winners (2-0), who followed the win up with a 51-34 victory over the Brooklyn Nets (1-1).

New Orleans Hornets 47, Philadelphia 76ers 44

Peyton Ausfeld scored 18 points and Marcus Jackson helped out with 10 points to lift the New Orleans Hornets to a win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Tyler Safran and Jacob Palczak each scored six points, Jon Schultz added five points and Vernon Handy had two points for the winners.

Jeffrey Brennan and Andrew Giaimo scored 12 and 10 points, respectively to lead the 76ers (0-2). Anthony Vicinanzo and Randy Spraker each scored eight points, Spencer Flint had four points and Andrew Bracchi finished with two points.

6-8 Grade Girls

Siena Saints 52

Kentucky Wildcats 24

Siena put all players in the scoring column led by Karly Power with 16 points followed by Morgan Durinick with 12 points. Ashlyn Glionna, Olivia Lazarou, Maria Bottisti and Olivia Mautone each scored four points while Gianna Quatrini, Michaela Kelly, Elena Fedullo and MacKenzie Farina had two points each.

Kentucky was led by Lucia Liverio's 12 points. Madison Carmona had eight points and Hailee Alicea and Kiara Alicea each had two points. Defense was led by Reagan Schwartz, Madison Lanzia, Kanna Mercado and Talia Peconie.
