Angelina (Vecchio) Ciccarino of Dublin, GA., passed away peacefully Wednesday morning at Serenity Hospice after a brief illness.

Born in Amsterdam, NY on Feb. 27, 1918, the daughter of the late Joseph & Anella Romano Vecchio. She was a 1934 graduate of St. Mary's Institute in Amsterdam.

She worked for several glove companies and in 1965 she went to work for the Income Tax Dept. at the State offices in Albany. She retired in Dec. 1979.

Angie was a communicant of the former St. Michael the Archangel Church and when she moved to Georgia to be near her daughter she became a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Dublin.

She was a 50 year member of the former Emblem Club #273 and served as president, secretary as well other offices. She was an avid bowler for a few years.

After retirement Mrs. Ciccarino & her husband joined a senior group and traveled extensively around the country including Hawaii & Bermuda. They traveled to their children's homes in CA, MN, NJ, NY and GA. Their children were the joy of their lives.

Angie & Jim were married on Sept. 10, 1939 and had 64 years together until Jim passed away on Nov. 5, 2003.

Her loving family includes 3 children Suzanne (Frank) Mullen, Biltmore Lake, North Carolina; Janet Martuscello, Dublin, Georgia; Joseph (Donna) Ciccarino, Endicott, NY. Seven grandchildren: Dr. Pamela Popielarz, Chicago, IL; David (Terri) Popielarz, Brownsburg, IN; Amy (Bryan) Rawls, Pendleton, SC; Amanda (Sandy)Kyzer, East Dublin, GA; Jeffrey (Janel) Ciccarino, Vestal, NY; Jason Ciccarino, Arlington, TX; and Lisa Kelly, Binghamton, NY. Step grandchildren Cary & Geoffrey Mullen, Los Angeles, CA. Great grandchildren: Alex & Jake Kyzer, D. J., twins Kylie & Andrew Rawls, Morgan & Emily Ciccarino, Cole, twins Danica & Dane Kelly. She was predeceased by her sisters, Philomena Sollecito and Mary Vecchio. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Angie's memory to Autism Speaks (autismspeaks.org).

The Mass Of Christian Burial will be offered Monday, December 10th at 11 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 39 St. John Street Amsterdam by Fr. Pascal A. Iannotti. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the church Monday prior to the Mass from 10 to 11 am. Interment in Sacred Heart Shrine at St. Mary's Cemetery.
