Two more individuals were arrested this week in connection to the large drug investigation in the city of Amsterdam announced in mid-November.
Anne Riley, 58, of 13 Trinity Place, was charged with fifth-degree conspiracy, a misdemeanor, and Daniel Sumpter, 26, of the same address, was charged with sixth-degree conspiracy, also a misdemeanor.
Both were arrested Monday on outstanding arrest warrants from Amsterdam City Court linked to the case.
The Amsterdam Police Department announced on Nov. 12 that with the help of outside agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, they had arrested twelve individuals in five locations after a five-month long investigation.
Some of the individuals, Amsterdam Police Department Det. Lt. Kurt Conroy said at the time, were associated with gangs and were involved in dealing and using drugs.
Three more individuals were arrested at the end of November linked to the same investigation.
