Richard S. Rudin

Mr. Richard S. Rudin, 81 years old, of Coburg Village, formerly of Rochester, died Monday December 3, 2012, at Saratoga Hospital with his loving family at his side. He was born August 27, 1931 in Rochester, NY a son of Hyman and Sarah Relin Rudin. Richard graduated from Brighton High School in 1949 and was a graduate of Rochester Business Institute.

He served in the US Naval Reserves during the Korean War. Richard had a long career as a lighting salesman with Empire Electric and Maynard's Electric in Rochester.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, the former Sandra J. Proctor; his daughters Lisa J. (Kaye) Fox of S. Carolina and Randie Rudin (Del) Salmon of Niskayuna; his three grandchildren Benjamin (Emily Cooper) Salmon, Stephen (fiancée Amanda Spring) Salmon and Hannah Salmon; his great grandchildren Caleb and Sydney Salmon and his brother Robert (Janece) Rudin.

A Memorial Service will be held 3:00pm Thursday December 6, 2012 at Congregation Gates of Heaven, 852 Ashmore Avenue, Schenectady, NY. A Shiva service will be held on Thursday at 7:00pm at the home of Randie and Del Salmon, 80 Pheasant Ridge, Niskayuna, NY. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home.

Memorial contribution may be made to Congregation Gates of Heaven.
