Shea Lynn Surnear

Shea Lynn Surnear, age 7 of Fonda, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam.

Born on August 25, 2006 in Gloversville.

She was a student at Fonda Fultonville Central School.

Shea was a member of the Fonda Fultonville Soccer League, Fonda Fultonville Little League Baseball, and Fonda Fultonville Youth Cheerleader. Shea was an active member of the MDA.

She was accepting and sensitive to all and there wasn't a life she left untouched. Her heart was filled with love and compassion for others. She held a special place in it for her entire family and showered all with hugs and kisses.

She loved art, music and most of all animals, especially her dog, Buddy and two cats, Squeekerz and Sophia.

Survivors include her parents David R. Surnear Jr. and Lisa M. (Gordon) Surnear, two brothers Steven J. Surnear and Skyler T. Surnear; maternal grandparents Kathleen Gordon and Ed Walters of Mayfield; paternal grandparents David R. Surnear Sr. and Peggy A. Surnear of Johnstown; aunts and uncles include Amy (Gordon) and Warren Klock of Mayfield, Buffy (Surnear) and Pete Rousseau of Johnstown, Luke and Danielle (Gushlaw) Surnear of Schenectady; cousins include Libby Rousseau, Nicholas Rousseau, Caleb Rousseau, and Ila Klock.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 2 at the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home, 1 N. Melcher Street, Johnstown.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday from 12 p.m. (Noon) to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Spring interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.

Donations in her memory may be made to the family in care of Barter & Donnan Funeral Home to help with funeral and cemetery expenses.
