Christopher Orsini

Christopher Orsini, 48, passed away at St. Peter's Hospice in Albany on October 11th, after a year-long battle with cancer.

Born in Amsterdam on September 21, 1965, Chris was the son of the late Arthur and Elaine Orsini. He graduated from Amsterdam High School in 1983, attended SUNY Farmingdale and Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida.

At the time of his death he was employed as a physical therapist at the Hudson Park Rehabilitation Center in Albany. Chris lived most of his adult life in Palm Beach County, Florida where he enjoyed fishing and boating. He returned to Amsterdam in 2010 and moved to Albany the following year.

Survivors include his son, Stevie of Tequesta, Florida, a brother Tom (Barbara) Orsini of Delmar and sister Elizabeth Bottisti of Fort Johnson.

A funeral Mass celebrating Chris' life will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church, St. John Street, Amsterdam, NY, on Saturday, October 19th, at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Lawrence J. Decker as celebrant.

There will be no calling hours.

Memorial contributions may be made in Chris's memory to St. Peters Hospice Inn, 315 South Manning Boulevard, Suite 100, Albany, NY 12010.
