Elman "Sandy" Sanders

Elman "Sandy" Sanders, age 81, formerly of Caroga, NY, died on Thursday, October 11, 2012 in Kalamazoo, MI where he had been residing with his daughter for the past year.

He was a long time resident of the Caroga Lake area and for many years worked for Agway.

After his retirement he worked for the town of Caroga until 2011. Members of his family include four children: Debra Dodd of Texas, Jacqueline Karasch of South Carolina, Cynthia (Chris) Zawacki of Michigan, and Michael (Dawn) Sanders of Florida; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and two sisters: Georgia Crandell of Texas and Patricia (Arnold) Brown of New Jersey.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice; a brother, Milford; and a sister, Muriel.

A memorial service will take place in the spring of 2013.
