Betsy J. Willmott, 73, formerly of Scenic Drive, Hagaman, passed away Saturday morning at St. Mary's Hospital with her loving family at her bed side. She was a resident of the Edward L. Wilkinson R.H.C.F. since 2003.

Born November 12, 1938 in Hagaman, New York she was the daughter of the late Carl L. and Marie C. Yager Kruger. Betsy was a life long resident of the Amsterdam- Hagaman area and she graduated from the Wilbur H. Lynch high School.

Betsy was employed by the Feather Duster Company in Amsterdam for a number of years.

She was a past member of the Hagaman Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and was a member of the Calvary Reformed Church in Hagaman. Over the years she enjoyed crocheting, cooking and especially baking. She loved sharing her baked goods with her friends and family.

On April 26, 1959 she married John D. Willmott who passed away May 10, 2012. She was also predeceased by a brother Carl Kruger.

Survivors include two sons, John W. (Jack) Willmott of Mayfield and Bryan Willmott (Theresa) of Amsterdam; a daughter, Marie Mazone (Chris) of Guilderland; a sister Joyce Wilder of Gloversville; three grandchildren, Michael Willmott, Courtney Willmott and Tyler Mazone; a great granddaughter Savanna Rose Fisher; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private memorial service will be held on at the at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park avenue, Amsterdam, NY with the Rev. Stanley Craig officiating. Burial of her cremated remains will take place in Hagaman Cemetery. Calling hours will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Betsy's memory to the Hagaman Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 328, Hagaman, NY 12086. Please sign the family guest book on line at
