Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes has signed a letter of intent to join the Foundation Partners Group family of funeral firms. The transaction is expected to close by year's end.
BRBS, which consists of six funeral homes in Fulton and Montgomery counties and has served families in New York for over 150 years, is excited that this affiliation will ensure the quality of service will continue into the future, the company said in a news release.
It was the alignment of cultures that was the driving force for the merger, said Jack Betz, BRBS president. Foundation Partners' mission, "To Capture, Acknowledge, and Share Life's Purpose" aligns perfectly with the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart philosophy of 'Serving Families As If They Were Our Own...," he said.
"We're very excited about the opportunity to team up with a growing organization that shares our passion for service, that has ideas and resources that will add value to the services we offer our families and that will provide the resources to remain strong in a changing industry and world," said Vince Rossi.
"We believe we have found the ideal partner that recognizes the unique character and values BRBS brings to our communities. While we have been leaders in bringing new ideas to our families, Foundation Partners will provide additional resources and opportunities that will strengthen our team and the services we provide," said John Stewart.
"This is a great opportunity for our staff and the families we serve to experience the added value that Foundation Partners Group brings to the excellent service we currently provide," said David Bellinger, who will retire at the end of this year.
Foundation Partners officials said they are pleased that Vince Rossi, Jack Betz and John Stewart will continue their active partnership, and looks forward to supporting them as they continue to serve their families.
"Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart is a perfect fit for Foundation Partners, and we intend to bring all of our vision, innovation and resources to help Vince, Jack, John, and their team continue to provide the highest possible level of service in their communities," said Brad Rex, Foundation Partners' chief executive officer.
Funeral Directors Martin J. Hughes, Peter J. Rose, John Konik, Kari Bezio-Wenskoski, Brian Barnett and Paul Decker II also look forward to the benefits of the partnership. They will continue their current roles within the new organization.
Foundation Partners Group, a privately owned company, was established in June of 2010.
