Kenneth E. Robbins, Sr., 93 passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at his home in the Town of Providence.

He was born on September 12, 1920 in Greensburg, Indiana to Hettie and Bernard Robbins. Ken served in the US Army during World War II and worked as a superintendent for Penetryn/Altairs Systems of Albany, NY and Orlando, FL for more than 45 years.

In addition to his parents, Ken was predeceased by his wife Helen May Robbins, sister Agnes and brother Walter. In addition to his constant companion, Rudi, he is survived by his children, Katherine Keller of Galway, Kenneth Robbins, Jr. of Galway, Joyce Emigh of Galway, Donald May (Ann) of Hagaman, Douglas May (Lynn) of Hagaman, David May of Jacksonville, FL, Sharon Nolan of Ballston Spa, Sandra Hoffman (Fred) of Fonda, Dale May (MaryAnn) of Schenectady and Wendy Spence (William) of Broadalbin, sisters in law, Patricia Schmidt of Ledyard, CT, Ruth Schmidt of Rye, NH, 28 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Ken's wishes there will be no calling hours. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.

The family would like to thank the volunteers and staff of Community Hospice of Saratoga for their care and compassion.
