Mr. Joseph M. Dambrosi, 68, of Brookside Avenue, Amsterdam died peacefully on Monday, October 1, 2012 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born on December 8th 1943 he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth Yager Damrosi.

A lifelong city resident, Joe attended local schools. He was employed in construction for many years until his retirement. He then worked part time as a Janitor for Amsterdam Memorial Hospital for 5 years.

On November 28, 1971 he was untied in marriage to the former Diane Tooker. Together for forty years, they were parishioners of the former St. Michael the Archangel R.C. Church. They also enjoyed visiting the Auriesville Shrine and being with family. Joe will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was predeceased by his parents and sister.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Dambrosi; a sister, Jane Yager Olin; two daughters, Colleen Brendar and Joanna Parsons; two step sons, James Loux and Tad Dambrosi; four grandchildren, Carl, Chris, Beth and Alicia; and one great granddaughter, Brownie.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fort Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Montgomery County SPCA, PO Box 484, Amsterdam, NY 12010. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the staff at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home.

Title: It's never too late for a new begining.

It should never be too late to come home! May you find eternal rest in heaven knowing that your son Jimmy, granddaughters Brittani & Ashley, along with your great granddaughter Bryleigh are together again with Colleen, Joanna, and their families because of you!
