Annual Sand Island Bash takes place today on lake

BROADALBIN -- The Great Sacandaga Lake Business Association (GSLBA) is hosting its 10th annual Sand Island Bash today from 1 to 5 p.m. on the island with Off Kilter featured as the band.

The band will be playing lakeside, as the audience gathers on the island's shore, and boats anchor off in the lake, meeting up for one last summer bash.

The GSLBA a not for profit association with lobbying capabilities, formed to promote and enhance businesses providing goods and services around and near the Great Sacandaga Lake by encouraging recreation, resourceful use, and enjoyment of the lake. The GSLBA has hosted this year's Dam Tie-up, Sand Island Bash, as well as summer and winter fireworks displays. For further information on the GSLBA, go to www.visitsacandaga.com/GSLBA.htm.
