Patricia Ann Perillo

Patricia Ann Perillo, 78, of Amsterdam, passed away Friday evening Aug. 29, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving husband and children.

Born in Amsterdam March 1, 1936, she was a daughter of the late James and Mildred Raila Kavanaugh. Patricia was a lifelong Amsterdam resident and was a 1954 graduate of St. Mary's Institute in Amsterdam.

Patricia was employed as a secretary for attorney Guy Tomlinson in his private practice. She went on to be his secretary while he was county DA and later when he became Montgomery County Court Judge. She was Roman Catholic and was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Amsterdam. Mrs. Perillo enjoyed entering sweepstakes and winning prizes. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her cherished grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

She married her beloved husband Stephen A. Perillo March 3, 1957. In addition to her husband of 57 years she is survived by her two daughters, Lisa G. Wyszomirski of Amsterdam and Stephanie R. Perillo (Ivan) of Amsterdam; one sister, Cynthia (Joe) Gatchell of Amsterdam; two cherished grandchildren, Garin L. and Troy W. Wyszomirski of Amsterdam. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was predeceased by her parents James and Mildred, her sister Kathleen Barrera, and a niece, Rene Bayes.

Funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Private interment will take place in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Amsterdam.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam 12010.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Capital NY Region, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, 12110; or to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 E. 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
