Beverly B. Siver, 94, of Lafayette Street, Palatine Bridge, died peacefully on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Albany Medical Center.
Born in Nelliston, New York on St. Valentine's Day 1920 she was the daughter of the late Carlton and Ora Gramps Boslet.
A lifelong area resident, Bev was a 1938 graduate of Fort Plain High School. She along with her family operated the Boslet Grocery Store in Nelliston until it's closing in 1965. Bev then went to work for the Penny Saver until her retirement in 1983.
Bev enjoyed life and was proud to be a "Nelliston Girl." She was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a 50 year member of the DAR, Fort Plain Chapter. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting and crossword puzzles. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was predeceased by her parents; and her husbands, Dow Freday and Harold Siver; and two brothers, Walter and Carlton Boslet.
Survivors include her two daughters, Carole (Robert) Neureuther of Englewood, Ohio and Karen (Paul) D'Arcangelis of Sailsbury Center, New York; four grandchildren, Craig (Val) Neureuther, Dr. Brian (Tammy) Neureuther, Tony (Kim) D'Arcangelis, Kelly (Frank Gallo) Smith; eight great grandchildren, Jake, McKenzie, Shae, Ty, Ethan, Bradley, Christopher and Kaitlyn; one great great grandson, Jace; her best friend, Maryann LaCoppala; two step children, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Bev will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 12:00p.m. at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317 with the Rev. Nancy Ryan presiding. A calling period will begin prior to the service at 10:00a.m.
Interment will take place in the Fort Plain Cemetery.
