Bertha E. (Betty) Dingman, 91, passed away July 28, 2014.
She was born February 14, 1923 in Junius, New York, the daughter of Harry Rackmyer and Alta Parsels Rackmyer.
Bertha married Alton H. Dingman on June 29, 1940, and had a wonderful union of 73 years. She and Alton operated a dairy farm in Salt Springville, New York for many years. She was a homemaker and loved family gatherings, baking, and in later years, playing bingo at Fort Plain Senior Center.
In 2008 the couple moved to Palatine Bridge, NY. and in 2013 Bertha became a resident of St. Johnsville Nursing Home, where she made many friends among the staff and residents.
She is survived by daughter, Sandra (Carl) Yager of Richfield Springs and their children: Claudia (Dave) Temple and Butch (Robin) Yager; her daughter, Sally Potter, of Palatine Bridge, and her children: Pam Mulder, Bonnie (Jim) Crews, and Ann (Ben) Mulder; stepchildren, Diana (Don) Whiteman, Harold (Glenda) Potter, Joanne (David) Bramer and Nelson (Shelly) Potter; her deceased daughter Linda's children: Ronald Hayes, Alton (Jolene) Hayes and Denise (Ken) Hayes; grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephew.
Bertha was predeceased by her husband, Alton; her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ronald Hayes; her brothers, George and Harvey Rackmyer and her sister, Belle Lyng; and son-in-law, Curtis Potter.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014, at 11:00 AM, at the Fort Plain Cemetery, Clyde St., Fort Plain, NY

Funeral services were entrusted to the Ottman Funeral Home, 22 Church St., Cherry Valley,N.Y.
