UTICA -- Taylor Blatch and the Amsterdam Mohawks had a night to remember Sunday against the Utica Brewers.

The Mohawks won both ends of a doubleheader by a combined score of 23-0 -- and Blatch threw the Mohawks' first no-hitter since the squad joined the PGCBL.

Amsterdam won the first contest, 7-0, and picked up the second game, 16-0.

Blatch threw his no-hitter in the 7-0 decision, tossing seven innings in his shutout. Besides allowing no hits, Blatch walked four and struck out five.

In the no-hitter, Joey Aiola and John Razzino each had two hits to support Blatch. Razzino also scored two runs for Amsterdam.

In game 2, Kevin Guthrie was just as dominant as Blatch for the Mohawks. In a three-hitter, Guthrie walked one and struck out a season-high 11 batters.

The Mohawks had a 10-run third inning to support Guthrie. Alex DeBellis had a home run, two runs scored and three RBIs in the win, while Aiola and Razzino each also had three RBIs in the win.

On Saturday, DeBellis had two singles and a double to lead the Mohawks to a 10-6 come-from-behind victory over the Adirondack Trail Blazers.

Also, Razzino had a home run, single and five RBIs and JaVon Shelby had a home run, single and four RBIs.

Adirondack led 5-0 after four innings.

The Mohawks finished with 19 hits on the evening.

Amsterdam plays host to the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs in a doubleheader. First game has a 5:05 p.m. start time.
