Arthur Allen Harrington was taken into God's embrace on the evening of July 19, 2014, peacefully at his home in Palatine Bridge. His loving family members were with him.

Born on July 4, 1937 in Saratoga, New York, he served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean conflict. Later he joined the National Guard. Arthur's career was with BOCES in Herkimer for 23 years and also drove school bus for Little Falls Fonda bus Company for 21 years. Arthur retired to be a gentleman farmer. He was married to the former Donna Rae Hamer, a union of 27 years and was happy to be "Papa" to five step children, seventeen step grandchildren and ten step great grandchildren and to his very dear lap dogs Emmitt, Eveie, AnnaSita and KivisonD.

Resting in Jesus, he is safe ever more. There are no calling hours. Interment will be at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

The family wants to thank the Mountain Valley Hospice for their kind hearts and help with a special thank you to Russ, Liz, Deb and Donna.

Cremation arrangements are in the caring guidance of Daniel J. Enea Funeral and Cremation Care, 5860 State Route 5, between Little Falls and Herkimer, 315-508-5250.
