Isabelle Sasowski, 90, of State Highway 30 South, Amsterdam, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014 at her home with her loving family at her side.

Born in Amsterdam on March 24, 1924 a daughter of the late Maryon and Mary Jankowski Kowalski.

She was a lifelong area resident and was a 1941 graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School in Amsterdam.

Isabelle was employed by the Mohawk Carpet Mills for many years in Amsterdam.

She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam. She was a member of the Florida Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and at one time.

Isabelle devoted her time to her family and many friends.

She married Frank Sasowski on September 26, 1953. He passed away on August 30, 2002.

Survivors include her sister Regina Lomnicki of Amsterdam; nieces, nephews and cousins; a special nephew, David Jablonski and his wife Lisa of Amsterdam; great-niece, Ali of Amsterdam.

Isabelle was predeceased by her beloved daughter Marianne on March 11, 2002.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph, Henry, Zigmunt and Benjamin. Her sisters, Irene, Wanda and Anna.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 23, 2014 at 11:00A.M. at the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam with Father Robert DeMartinis presiding.

Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Amsterdam.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday prior to the funeral service beginning at 10:00AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery County Office for the Aging, 135 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
