Miss Angelina E. Garrasi, 101 years old, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the E.L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility in Amsterdam following a brief illness.

Born in Amsterdam, NY on June 18, 1912 a daughter of the late Carmen and Josephine Morreale Garrasi.

Angelina was a lifelong Amsterdam resident and attended local schools. She was a homemaker and was at one time a member of the former Cholres in Amsterdam.

She was a communicant of the former St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam.

Angelina is survived by her nephews, Joseph Garrasi of Florida and Tony Garrasi of Amsterdam; great-nephews, Michael Garrasi of Amsterdam and Tim Garrasi of Kentucky.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Anthony, Samuel and Steve Garrasi; two sisters, Nancy Garrasi and Philomena Garrasi. She was also preceded in death by a nephew, Anthony Garrasi in February of 2008.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday July 22, 2013 at 9:15 A.M. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ft. Johnson, NY.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday July 22, 2013 from 7:45 to 8:45A.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to G.A.V.A.C. P.O. Box 11, Park St., Amsterdam, NY 12010.
