Gary Joseph "Slugger" Frascatore

Gary Joseph "Slugger" Frascatore, 47, of Tribes Hill, NY, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at his home.

Born in Amsterdam, NY on July 18, 1966 a son of the late Bennie Frascatore and Janet Tryon. He was a lifelong area resident and was a 1984 graduate of Fonda Fultonville Central High School. He also attended Fulton and Montgomery County BOCES and received a certificate in Horticulture.

Gary was a participant in Liberty Enterprises Workshop for several years. He enjoyed bowling, baseball, football, country music, old movies, going to Bosco's Restaurant and playing lottery numbers games.

He was a member of the Tribes Hill Presbyterian Church.

Gary is survived by his sisters, Terra Lynn Nasse and her husband Paul of Canajoharie, NY. Brette Zayizek and her husband Dick of North Carolina and Tracey Wilson of Amsterdam. One nephew, Jackson Tryon Nasse of Canajoharie, NY. Favorite uncle, Eugene Tryon and his wife his Aunt Onnie of Tribes Hill, NY. Special cousin and friend Robert Bienick. Several cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Janet Tryon Frascatore on April 25, 2000 and his father Bennie Frascatore on September 8, 2008.

The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Sheridan and his staff and nurses for their wonderful care and Montgomery County Department of Social Services for their care and concern.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 19, 2014 at 11:00A.M. at the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY with Rev. Bonnie Orth presiding. Interment of Cremated remains will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Tribes Hill Volunteer Fire Department, 280 Mohawk Drive, Tribes Hill, NY 12177 or to Tribes Hill Presbyterian Church, 116 Elizabeth St., Tribes Hill NY 12177.
