* The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations at Mayfield on Friday arrested Nicole Sheroka, 40, of Schenectady, because she allegedly stole property from a Caroga Lake residence. Sheroka worked as a home health aide for a private company and had access to the residence by virtue of her employment, troopers said. Sheroka was arrested at her residence and reportedly had some of the stolen items in her possession. She was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny , a class E felony. She was released and ordered to appear in town court July 28 at 7 p.m.

Troopers said Sheroka worked throughout the Capital Region. Anyone that may have had Sheroka as a home health aide and have items missing are encouraged to contact the New York State Police in Mayfield at 661-5446.

* A tractor trailer rollover accident on the Northway near exit 15 Friday at 1:38 a.m. Friday injured a truck driver.

Timothy Dennison, 49, of Galway, was driving a Price Chopper tractor trailer northbound on Interstate 87 and left the east side of the roadway, striking guiderails and damaging the Route 29 overpass south of exit 15, police said. The truck, which was loaded with food, continued north and came to rest in a wooded area off the east shoulder of the highway. Dennison was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The accident resulted in brief lane closures while the truck was towed. The state Department of Transportation advises that the right lane will remain closed until repairs are made to the overpass and guiderails.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
