Mr. Joseph J. Stradone, 84, of Willow Court, Amsterdam died peacefully on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Amsterdam, NY on August 6, 1929 he was the son of the late Anthony and Martha Stradone.

An area resident, he was a 1947 graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School. Joseph went on to work for the Brooklyn Union Gas in New York. Mr. Stradone was a member of Jehovah's Witness.

Joseph will be remembered for being a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Esther Stradone; his children, Rickey (Alexandra) Stradone, Debra Stradone, Wesley Stradone and Donna Stradone; his brother, George (Sally) Stradone; five grandchildren, Tiffany Stradone, Michael Stradone, André Stradone, Bianca Stradone and Joseph Stradone.

A Service of Remembrance will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 2 o'clock at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
