Perth man arrested in marijuana bust

Friday, July 11, 2014 - Updated: 10:09 AM

PERTH -- A 31-year-old Perth man was arrested Wednesday for reportedly housing an illegal marijuana growth operation out of his home in town.

State police said an extensive investigation lead to the arrest of Joshua R. Gordon of Perth, who was allegedly found to be in possession of over a pound marijuana and growth equipment, during a search of his home on 2507 Route 107.

He was reportedly charged with one count of marijuana possession, a felony, and one count of unlawfully growing marijuana, a misdemeanor.

Troopers said they showed up at his home to find Gordon was soaking wet and he told them he was tending to his plants. Troopers said it appeared Gordon was growing marijuana for a long time.

He allegedly told troopers he tried selling marijuana in the past to make money.

Gordon is scheduled for an arraignment in Perth town court on July 21.
