Linda S. Hoshlyk, 61, of Broadalbin passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Albany Medical Center surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness.

Born January 22, 1953 in Amsterdam she was a daughter of Stephen and the late Rita Warren Hoshlyk.

Linda retired in 2008 from the St. Johnsville Central School District as a teacher and administrator after over 30 years of loyal and faithful service. She was an active member of the PI Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International where she held various leadership positions over the years. Linda loved to travel, craftwork, her beloved pets but most of all Linda loved her friends and family.

Survivors include her father Stephen Hoshlyk; sister Nancy Hoshlyk; uncle John Hoshlyk all of Broadalbin and close friend Chelcey Armstrong (Brad) of Pennsylvania and their son Gabriel. Linda is also survived by numerous cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 12, 2014 10 A.M. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Broadalbin with Father Owen Shanley officiating. Please assemble at church. Burial will follow in St. Basil's Ukrainian Cemetery Broadalbin.

Visitation to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will take place on Friday, July 11, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home 85 W. Main Street Broadalbin.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Linda's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to Mountain Valley Hospice 108 Steele Avenue Gloversville, NY 12078.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home Broadalbin.
