Norma R. Bowman, 90, died peacefully on July 7, 2014.

Born in Minaville, New York on October 9, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Edward and Elmira Rector Bussing.

A lifelong area resident, Norma was a 1942 graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School. She worked for Martin's Specialty Shop and Famers National Bank until her retirement. She was a member of the St. Mary's Seniors, Tribes Hill Seniors, The Labora Club and served as secretary of the Chuctanunda Cemetery. She was also a member of the Florida Reformed Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, John L. Bowman in 1998.

Survivors include her only son, Bruce Bowman and his wife Maris of Amsterdam, NY; two grandchildren, Heather Woodworth and her husband Christopher and Derek Bowman; nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Service of Remembrance will take place on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 11:00a.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam with the Rev. Timothy Alicki presiding.

Interment will follow in the Chuctanunda Cemetery, Minaville.

A calling hour will precede the service beginning at 10:00a.m.

Memorial contributions in Norma's name may be made to the Florida Reformed Church of the Town of Florida Volunteer Fire Department.
