Anita K. Pope

Anita K. Pope, 93, of Amsterdam, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Capstone Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Amsterdam.

Born in Glens Falls, NY on January 6, 1921 the daughter of the late Albert and Geneva Dubee Primeau. She was a resident of Glens Falls and attended schools there before moving to Amsterdam.

Anita worked for many years at the former Premier Glove Co. in Fultonville, NY as a glove maker. She was a communicant of the former St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam.

She married William "Bill" Pope on May 4, 1941. He passed away on April 28, 2002.

Survivors include her children, Dennis J. Pope and wife Katy of Port Jervis, NY. Gary Pope and his wife Diane Pope of Ballston Lake, NY and Linda Towers and her husband Lee Towers of Corinth. Six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam.
