The following is a roundup of upcoming Fourth of July festivities in Fulton and Montgomery counties:
Thursday, July 3
Fireworks at Shuttleworth Park after the Amsterdam Mohawks game at 6:35 p.m.
Pine Lake fireworks at dusk, 136 Timberline Lane. $5 per car.
The 27th annual 4th on the 3rd celebration, sponsored by the Fort Plain Community Activities Council, will take place at Wiles Park. Daytime activities start as early as 8 a.m., but the fireworks display will take place at 9:45 p.m.
Friday, July 4
A patriotic organ recital will be held at Upstate Chapel 4 at 7 p.m. All Upstate Chapel concerts and events are open to all, and free-will offerings are encouraged. All proceeds are used to promote musical arts in the Canajoharie area.
Lanzi's Fourth of July fireworks display at 1751 Route 30 at dusk. Free admission.
The Fourth of July Doins will be held at the Northville Waterfront Park today and Saturday, July 5. The Doins will run from 4 to 10 p.m. both days. A parade will take place at 1 p.m. and fireworks will take place at 10 p.m. Saturday. Food and craft vendors and musical entertainment will be available throughout the event.
An Independence Day celebration and strawberry festival will be held at Fort Klock from noon to 4 p.m. The Declaration of Independence reading will be at 1 p.m. followed by a Tryon County Militia patriotic musket salute.
Saturday, July 5
Parkfest during the day at Shuttleworth Park, featuring "Art Night" and a coloring contest. Fireworks after the Amsterdam Mohawks game at 6:35 p.m.
Caroga Lake Block Party at Sherman's Park, 104 East Shore Road, Caroga Lake. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Fees may apply.
Friday, July 11
The village is hosting an "After the 4th" family celebration at the recreational park today and Saturday. Events will kick off with a parade today at 6 p.m., followed by an awards presentation and a chicken barbecue hosted by the Town of Mohawk Fire Department. A performance by the group Kardia is scheduled at 7 p.m., and fireworks at 10 p.m. The celebration continues July 12 from noon to 5 p.m., featuring performances by the County Line Rebels for the duration of the event. The winners of a 50/50 raffle will be announced at 5 p.m.
