Robert Jay Kalinsky

Robert Jay Kalinsky of St. Louis, Mo. passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013.

He was born October 7, 1931, the son of the late Louis Kalinsky and Lillian Goldberg.

Robert was a Korean War Veteran who served two tours (1951-1954). Tour A and Tank Co. 5th Regt. Combat Team and Tour B and Tank Co. 279th Infantry Regt. 45th Division. Member of VFW and DAV. Nine Service Medals including Combat Infantry Man's Badge.

Survivors include his sons Howard Kalinsky (Nam Hui) of Washington DC, John Kalinsky of Fort Walton Beach, FL, daughters Sheila Colabello (Joe) of Fort Johnson, NY, Dina Crouse of Fort Hunter, NY and Wanda Clapp (Daniel) of Baker, Fl. Also surviving is his sister in law, Barbara Kalinsky, nephews Jeffrey and Mark, "special granddaughter" Britney Learue and best friend, Larry. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Also, a special thanks to his devoted caregiver Raschell Jones. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a brother, Hershel Kalinsky, a grandson, Aryck Kalinsky and a nephew Mark Kalinsky.

Services: Visitation at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. St Louis, Missouri, Wednesday, June 12, 12:30pm until time of funeral at 1:30pm.

Interment J.B. National Cemetery.
