Ann B. Vainauskas

Ann B. Vainauskas, 93, of Burtonville Road, Fultonville passed away peacefully on Thursday at the Alpine Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Little Falls, NY.

Born May, 26, 1921 in Amsterdam, New York, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Marchina Ruchcoska Tylutka. Ann attended a One Room School House in Mill Point, NY. She worked on the family farm in the Town of Charleston and also served as a former Town Clerk and former Justice of the Peace.

Ann liked to garden, can vegetables and cook for her family. She attended St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Fonda.

On April 24, 1948 she married Frank T. Vainauskas Sr. Together they enjoyed 66 years of marriage. Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Frank T. (Kathy) Vainauskas Jr. of Fultonville and Thomas F. (Wilda) Vainauskas of Fultonville; three grandchildren, Matthew Vainauskas, Christopher (Kori) Vainauskas and Lisa Vainauskas; three great grandchildren, Amaya, Avary and Adriana; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ann was predeceased by four brothers and five sisters.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at St. Casimir's Cemetery Chapel in Amsterdam.

There will be no calling hours.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ann's memory to the Shrine of Our Lady of Martyr's, 136 Shrine Road, Auriesville, NY 12016. Please sign the family guest book on line at www.brbsfuneral.com.
