Daniel J. "Slim" Overbaugh

Daniel J. "Slim" Overbaugh, 62, of Fairmont Avenue, Amsterdam died peacefully on Saturday, May 31, 2014.

A lifelong area resident, Daniel was born in Niskayuna, NY on April 8, 1952 to the late Adelbert Overbaugh and Elsie Martell Venerosa. He attended local schools and served proudly in the United States Air Force.

Dan worked for several companies as a plumber before becoming disabled.

Survivors include his mother, Elsie Venerosa; siblings, Donald Overbaugh and Debbie Overbaugh; his children, Eric Overbaugh and Heather Nolette; 4 granddaughters; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Service of Remembrance will take place on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 11a.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. A calling hour will precede the service beginning at 10a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery with military honors. Those wishing to remember "Slim" in a special way are asked to donate to the family to help with funeral expenses.
