NY Rising to host public meeting

CANAJOHARIE -- Residents are invited to participate in the planning of Montgomery County's future. New York state has invited communities to prepare a New York Rising Countywide Resiliency Plan and implement identified projects that will "build back better."

A meeting will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Arkell Museum, 2 Erie Blvd., at which the community will have the opportunity to provide input to the Montgomery County Planning Committee to help identify needs, opportunities and proposed resiliency projects, strategies and actions.

Representatives of the Department of State, along with members of the project Planning Committee and local elected officials, will be on hand to hear from the public and to discuss community needs, opportunities and proposed projects.

Town zoning meeting canceled

TOWN OF AMSTERDAM -- Amsterdam's monthly town zoning board of adjustment meeting scheduled for Wednesday, June 11, is canceled.
