Gary R. Nare, 58, of Ridge Road in Canajoharie passed away peacefully at his home on May 25, 2014.
He was born in Amsterdam, N.Y., on June 3, 1955, the son of the late Richard and Carolyn Bobilin Nare.
Gary was a lifetime resident of the area and was a participant of Liberty Enterprises. He was a member of the Fonda Reformed Church.
He also enjoyed eating all things good such as pizza, chips and sweets, music, dancing and bowling. Gary enjoyed children and babies along with spending time with family, often mimicking their gestures. He also liked to wrestle with his brothers and nephews.
His loving family includes his siblings, Gloria Bruno (Anthony), John Nare (Lorna), Tom Nare, Bill Nare (Linda), Dennis "Hank" Nare (Terri), Barb Smith, all of Fonda, and Sharon Carpenter (Andy) of Fort Hunter; loving step-mother, Margaret "Peg" Nare along with step siblings, Richard Krohn (Gretchen), Mary Keegan (Michael), Michelle Egelston (John) and Jacqueline Morris (Bill); nieces and nephews, John, Matthew, Joshua, Mark, Isaiah (Haley), Cara (Jeff), Jeremiah (Jennette), Hannah, Luke, Kyle, Carolyn, Michael, Dean, Megan, Erica, Vanessa (Matthew), Katherine, John, Ryan, Audrey, Grant, Paula, Madeline, Tillie, Mary and Billy along with a great nephew Ethan. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind his fellow housemates at Ridge Road and many friends at Liberty.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday evening, May 27, 2014, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St., Fultonville N.Y. 12072.
A funeral service will take place at the Fonda Reformed Church on Broadway in Fonda on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at 1 p.m., the Rev. Jenni Yeske will officiate. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Fonda.
