Frank A. Nardo

Frank A. Nardo, 98 of Brookside Avenue, passed away Friday at the Palatine Nursing Home after a brief illness.

Born in Amsterdam February 17, 1916. He was the son of the late Benedetto and Carmela LoPinto Nardo.

Mr. Nardo was a graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch and received a Bachelors Degree from Skidmore College.

He was a lifelong city resident and served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He received honorable discharge after being awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.

Mr. Nardo was employed as a carpet designer with Mohawk Carpet Mills until his retirement.

He was predeceased by one sister, Josephine Manasceri and one brother, Nicholas Nardo.

Survivors are three sisters, Mary Archase of Amsterdam, Antoinette Mancini of Schenectady, Catherine (Tom) Cirillo of Amsterdam and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
