Paul R. Mott

Paul R. Mott, 69, of Mergner Rd., Ft. Johnson, NY, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam with his loving family at his side.

Born in Schenectady, NY on May 25, 1943, a son of the late Malcolm and Freda Caird Cummings. He was a lifelong area resident and attended the former Mohonasen High School in Schenectady.

Mr. Mott was employed for many years as a Truck Driver for Agway in Schenectady.

He enjoyed going to the Fonda Speedway. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and old westerns. Above all he enjoyed being with his family especially watching his grandchildren play together.

He married Valerie Coons Mott on July 27, 1964. She passed away on June 20, 2008.

Survivors include one son, Robert E. Mott of Randall, NY; three daughters, Paula L. Gonzales of Mayfield, Lori M. Mott of Ft. Johnson, NY and Amanda R. Carpenter of Fonda, NY; three brothers, Robert Bradshaw of Rotterdam, NY, John Cummings of Ballston Spa, NY and Jeff Cummings of Amsterdam; one sister, Barbara Polcare of Schenectady, NY; grandchildren, Diahanna, Jeno, Johnny, Anthony, Bobby and Madeline, Lucas and Leighton. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 27, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam.

Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Amsterdam.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, May 27, 2013 from 10:00A.M. to 12:00P.M. at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Amsterdam, 243 Manny Corners Rd. Amsterdam, NY 12010.
