Richard (Dick) Collins

Richard (Dick) Collins of Amsterdam passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014.

Dick was born on November 26, 1943 to the late Kenneth and Bernice Wojciechowski Collins. He graduated from Wilber Lynch High School. He served his county in the US Army 1966 to 1968 with a tour of duty in Viet Nam.

Upon returning home he became a Certified Court Reporter. He received his bachelors degree from Empire State College. He retired from the US Postal Service in 2008 as a training supervisor.

He is survived by his devoted sister Gail (Dwight) Wilson of Scotia, NY. His long time friend and companion Mrs. Gene Reynolds of Schenectady. He leaves a daughter Kelly Kenneweg of Baldwinsville, NY and his two precious grandsons Daniel and Jason Kenneweg also of Baldwinsville, NY, a niece Tracy Wilson Smith (Jason) of Mt. Holly, NC and two great nephews Tyler and Wyatt Smith also of Mt. Holly.

In keeping with Dick's wishes there will be no viewing or service.

Those wishing to do so can make a donation in his memory to HSI (Holistic Studies Institute), 125 Wolf Road, Suite 503-6, Albany, NY 12205.

Arrangements are by the Gleason Funeral Home, Schenectady.
