Sir William Johnson Seniors

President Darlene Roe called the Sir William Johnson Seniors meeting to order at 1 p.m. May 8. Chaplain Gen Polinski led everyone in the Lord's Prayer and the pledge to the flag and a reading entitled "Bird on My Sill." Sandy Blessing, Secretary, read the minutes and a motion to accept was made by Rita Landreville and seconded by Connie Niegoski. Barbara Smith, Treasurer, gave the financial report. A motion was made by Caroline Walsh to accept the report seconded by EllaMae Bassett. Barbara Smith also reported, that during the village wide garage held May 4, Gladys Wilkes donated her sales to the seniors. Sunshine chairwoman, Barbara Francisco, reported that she sent out sympathy, get well, birthday and thinking of you cards. Wanda Dicaprio called the roll with 23 members present. During social hour everyone played bingo. A 50/50 drawing was won by Winnie Wozniak, Connie Niegoski and Gen Polinski. Tom Benton reported that the trip to the "Beaches" in Rome, NY, is all set. Everyone is to meet at the ballpark on Rte. 67 West by 9:15 a.m. The bus will leave at 9:30 a.m. Sign up for the next trip to "Log Cabin" in Massachusetts will begin now. The president reminded everyone to check the refreshment schedules so they can plan ahead. If there is a conflict they were advised to find someone to fill in for them. The next meeting will be Wednesday. A motion to adjourn was made by Tom Benton and seconded by EllaMae Bassett.

Cranesville Country Cousins

The Cranesville Country Cousins Senior's Group met Wednesday in the church hall at 1 p.m. with Bev Przybylo saying "grace" followed by refreshments and enjoyed by all. The meeting was then called to order by Bev Przybylo, president, and a pledge to the American flag was recited. The 50/25/25 winners were Don Newland and Olive Wells. Secretary's report was given by Stella Bedzis and treasurer's report was given by Dee Krutz. Both reports were approved. Under old business the group is going to Perthshire May 22 for dinner and show. There will be car pooling. For those needing a ride be at the church at 10:45 a.m. Bev Przybylo checked into the Todd Lincoln Home Tour. There is a shuttle bus to get everyone to the house and a tram to take everyone around. The date has not been set yet. On July 11 the group will be going to Proctor's. Everyone should sign up if they are going. A count is needed. The next meeting will be June 5. Refreshment committee will be Jean Gardenier, Guy Nimmo and Louise Blakeskee. At the June meeting, a representative from Office of Aging, will speak on preventing falls. Guy Nimmo made a motion to adjourn and Sherry Harwood seconded it. Bingo followed.
