Amsterdam Youth Baseball to hold Opening Day

The Amsterdam Youth Baseball League will be having its annual Opening Day ceremony on Saturday at Isabel's Field at 11 a.m.

All coaches and players are asked to arrive at 10 a.m.

A full slate of games will follow the ceremony.

Also, the league will hold a fundraiser on Sunday, June 8 from 2-7 p.m. at La Cucina.

Proceeds will go toward the purchase of an ansul system to meet city fire code requirements.

There will be raffles held throughout the day, including one that will include two box seats on first base side for the Houston Astros vs. Boston Red Sox game on Friday, Aug. 15.

The seats are Loge Box 102, Row FF, seats 5, 6 and were donated by the Boston law firm of Coughlin & Betke LLP with offices also in New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
