Junior Mohowks rout St. Mary's Healthcare

Spencer Cotugno lined a triple and two singles and Carson Cotugno ripped a triple to the fence in centerfield to lead the Junior Mohawks to an 11-1 victory over St. Mary's Healthcare in an Amsterdam Youth Baseball League Minors Division opener for both teams Thursday at Isabel's Field.

The game was stopped in the fifth inning because of the league's 10-run rule.

Andrew Spagnola added two singles, Sal Conti had a double and Yandeel Vazquez, Larry Guisti and Matt Sawitski chipped in with a single apiece.

Spencer Cotugno and Spagnola pitched two innings apiece and Vazquez pitched one. They combined to allow two hits and 12 strikeouts.

Brady Naish and Devon Wilson each singled for St. Mary's.
