William J. "Jackie" Przybylowicz

William J. "Jackie" Przybylowicz, 69 of Dania Drive, passed away suddenly Friday afternoon at St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Weeksville, NC, on March 31, 1944, the son of Edna L. and the late William A. Przybylowicz, he moved to Amsterdam area as an infant. He was a 1962 graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School and later attended SUNY Albany. William then began a thirty five year career with Mohawk Carpets and moved south with the company returning to this area in 2005 to be closer to family. He retired from Mohawk in 2002 as a computer analyst. A parishioner of St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church, he enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, golfing and bird watching.

On Sept. 8, 1978 he was united in marriage to the former Linda M. Johnson. In addition to his beloved wife, he leaves his mother, Edna Przybylowicz of Hagaman; children, Laura (Michael) Luck of Gloversville, James (Elizabeth) Przybylowicz of Amsterdam, and Paul (Christine) Praylo of Montibello, NY; grandchildren Michael Przybylowicz, Michael Luck, Ashley Przybylowicz, Sierra Luck , Nicholas and Eddie Praylo; sister Judy Opalka of Amsterdam; brothers Michael (Sandy) Przybylowicz of Galway and Thomas (Kim) Przybylowicz of Hagaman; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Stephen's Church Monday at 11:00 am, with Fr. O. Robert DeMartinis, celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to the Mass. Interment will follow in Hagaman Cemetery. There are no public calling hours, and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hagaman Vol. Fire Dept. or the American Cancer Society both in care of the funeral home office.
