Josh Nethaway wins America East honor

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- University at Albany baseball player and former Fonda-Fultonville High School standout Josh Nethaway was named the America East Player of the Week Monday as part of the league's weekly honor roll.

Nethaway hit .455 with a home run, three runs batted in and four runs scored as the Great Danes swept a three-game series against Stony Brook.

For the season, Nethaway -- who played for the Amsterdam Mohawks each of the past two summers -- owns a .299 batting average to go along with two home runs, seven doubles and 18 RBIs.
